Yoga Vidya Training

For national and overseas applicants

Pratyahara & Dharana Training
Date: 22nd to 28th March 2025

Pratyahara is the state where the mind is withdrawn from the experience of the senses with the sense objects. Dharana is a state of concentration where the internalized, one-pointed and focused state can be maintained for some time. Once the ability of pratyahara is attained, dharana can progress and be applied to all situations in life.

This training on pratyahara and dharana is designed to deepen the ability to internalize and withdraw from involvement with the continuous sensorial input from the external environment. In the context of our digital world and reduced attention span, this training imparts the tools to expand the awareness and control over one's participation in life. When pratyahara and dharana are applied in daily activities, the quality of experience and expression is greatly enhanced. A profound change takes place which nurtures understanding and harmony.

Previous raja yoga experience is required. Basic knowledge of pratyahara techniques, such as yoga nidra, kaya sthairyam, ajapa japa and antar mouna is a minimum requirement to derive the benefits from the Pratyahara & Dharana Training.
