Yoga Chakra Experience

Dates:
11th February to 11th July, 2024
18th July, 2024 to 18th January 2025

Today Sri Swami Satyananda’s yogic vision is known worldwide as Satyananda Yoga. For sincere yoga aspirants, Sri Swamiji presented the Yoga Chakra, or the Wheel of Yoga, in which six branches of yoga have been identified for a wholistic development of every individual. Hatha yoga, raja yoga and kriya yoga are the three practice-oriented branches which lead to physical, mental and psychic wellness. This is the first half of the yoga chakra, the bahiranga or external side. The internal or antaranga yoga are the branches of karma yoga, bhakti yoga and jnana yoga.

Under the inspiration of Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, Bihar School of Yoga is introducing the antaranga or internal aspect of the Yoga Chakra which allows aspirants to give the best of themselves through the creative expression of head, heart and hands. Karma yoga develops the positive expression in one’s active participation in any area of life. The three principles or aims of karma yoga slowly unfold as purity, selflessness and dedication. Bhakti yoga softens the heart, emotions are purified and channelled away from the mundane towards a higher goal for the wellbeing of all. Finally, through the process of jnana yoga and its bhumikas its foundations, viveka, right understanding, and vairagya, non-attachment, are developed.

The Yoga Chakra Experience is a means to discover antaranga yoga. It is not a classroom yoga. It can only be learnt in the ashram environment and by imbibing the spiritual wisdom of satsang. It is expected that aspirants have a basic understanding of hatha yoga and raja yoga and know how to apply these two branches for physical and mental wellbeing and harmony.

Dynamic and experiential, Yoga Chakra Experience is intended to unlock the hidden potentials within and allow you to express your positive and creative nature.

This training will fill every moment of the day with an awareness of how to improve, optimize and dedicate the expressions of head, heart and hands.

Please note: This is NOT a Teachers’ Training Course. No certificate will be given by the end of the training.
